Maximizing Profit Opportunities by visiting key food service accounts on a regular schedule for customer retention and sales opportunities. Increase food service sales within existing stores. Introduce new items, cuttings, and program roll-outs to customers. Development of new accounts. Sell food service items to existing customers not currently buying food items.
Operational working with customers (existing and potential) in building menus, cuttings and samplings to increase sales volume. Work with at least one retail representative per week to build the food services sales on a monthly rotation per retail representative.
Maximizing Profitability – create and maintain custom deli catalogs for new and existing customers as needed. Develop intimate knowledge of products and brands offered by M.R. Williams. Deliver key products as needed as opportunities present themselves (mis-picks, OOS, MFR OOS, etc.) Perform competitor cost analysis when needed to obtain new business. Process quarterly customer rebates when applicable.. Relay potential new items and/or MFRs to the food service buyer and the food service sales manager as needed.
Professional Development – visit supplier facilities that lead the market in major categories to develop product based knowledge. Participate in training programs as identified by the Food Service Sales Manager. Obtain and keep current ServeSafe certification. Ability to stay overnight, as needed (average 10 to 12 nights per year)
Educational and Background Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of sales experience with preference given to food service sales experience
